Summer is coming to an end and we have been BUSY! From playing in Boulder, CO at the FMQB 2017 Triple A Radio Conference and back to Austin, TX to film live on FOX 7 Good Day Austin and finally to iHeart Radio’s Bat Fest! The fun never stops and we are loving every second of this wild ride!
What an adventure! Being in Boulder and playing at the FMQB Triple A conferences awards banquet was SUCH an electrifying experience. It was really incredible to meet all the radio personalities who have been spinning our songs in person! It was exciting to match their voices to smiling faces! A big thank you to the St. Julien Hotel for hosting the event – we appreciate how much time and effort that was put into every detail of the conference. It was inspiring to play on the same stage with someone as the gifted and soulful Earl St. Clair! The outdoor stage we played on during the awards brunch was just stunning, and made the experience all the more memorable! Getting to play our hearts out in front of such a welcoming audience was like a dream!
Our next stop was back home to Texas for a live taping for the Good Day Austin “Music in the Morning” segment on FOX 7 Austin! We always love getting to hang out with Lauren Petrowski, one of the show’s hosts. Lauren is such a sweetheart and has a really fabulous style – before our segment she was kind enough to share some of her fashion tips with us! While preparing for our live jam session, we got to watch the comedian Adam Ray’s interview… that guy is hilarious! He had everyone on set cracking up. We were in for surprise during our segment – Adam dance bombed us during “Cravings,” and had us all in stitches with his old school dance moves! The guy does a pretty impressive robot! If you missed it, you can check it out here.
Last but certainly not least, we rocked out at the 2017 iHeart Radio Bat Fest! This annual festival takes place in Austin, TX on the Congress bridge, directly over the sparkling Colorado river. The festival is held to celebrate a unique piece of Austin – the world’s largest urban bat colony. The colony lives under the bridge and emerges in a flurry of beating wings and chirps every summer evening; it is truly a sight to behold. The fest had a star studded lineup: Scott Stapp, Bone Thugs N Harmony, Trapt, Sick Puppies, and many more. We were honored to share the Country stage along with The Rankin Twins, Blue Water Highway, and Nena Kapone. We really felt the love from everyone that night and the energy was contagious! Watching the crowd jumping during “Enough” was an unforgettable moment! We are so grateful for everyone who was dancing and singing along with us that night, you all made playing that festival so much fun! Thank you for encouraging us to keep rockin’!
