Free the Beast!

By | Events, Reflections | No Comments

We have some really BIG news! We are delighted to share it with you here first.

We are releasing our newest single called…wait for it…”The Beast” on October 14th! This song is about freeing those parts of yourself that you normally keep hidden, those parts that seem too wild or too much. The Beast is a call to be kind to & embrace all parts of yourself, to see the beauty in the beast. Plus, the music will get your juices flowing, your heart pumping, your feet dancing! It’s all around awesome, if we do say so.

Then, on Sunday, October 16th, join us at the historic Scoot Inn in east Austin, to champion kindness in yourself and others, and to help spread kindness to children across the city. We will be freeing “The Beast” during a 5:30 performance. Read More

The Mrs take over New York City!

By | Events, Reflections | No Comments

Do you ever have one of those moments where you take a step back and realize how lucky you are? That’s how we felt this week, as we hopped on a plane to New York City.

For three years we’ve been chasing a dream to spread our music and mission with as many people as possible. Through losses and gains, we have continued working together to create music that stirs girls {from 9-99} to be kind to themselves, take risks in their lives and step fully into their own power.

This week, we chased the dream into the bustling streets and subways of New York to meet with lots of media insiders about our new music {which we can’t wait to share with you!}. Since we’ve gotta walk our talk, we entered into this amazing opportunity, trusting that we are enough. We weren’t seeking validation. We were open to the possibilities this opportunity will bring our way, and we are having so much fun along the way.

Taking flight at Bat Fest

By | Events, Music, News, Reflections | No Comments

Every so often we get an invitation that just reminds us how lucky we are to be living in this awesome city. And this weekend is one of those only-in-Austin experiences.

We’re honored to perform at this year’s Bat Fest alongside Blue October, American Authors, The Mowgli’s and many more!

It’s a rock-n-roll dream to be able to play Congress Bridge overlooking the gorgeous Austin skyline, and be part of this festival that has so many years of history in our fair city.

So! If you want to be a part of it, we’d love to see you there! We’ll be rocking out at 4PM at the Austin360 Stage this Saturday, August 20th. We’ll be playing some of our newest songs & kicking off the festival with lots of fun, energy and bring-your-dancing-shoes music. Come sing and dance with us!

Pay It Forward benefiting The Lone Star Paralysis Foundation!

By | Events, Music, News, Reflections | No Comments

This Thursday, August 11th, we’re honored to perform at Daniel Curtis’ Pay It Forward benefiting the Lone Star Paralysis Foundation.

Daniel became paralyzed six years ago when he injured his neck in a diving accident in his pool. Following the accident, Daniel received overwhelming support from his family, friends and the Austin community, and quickly decided he wanted to extend this kindness to others experiencing similar challenges.

The result is Pay It Forward, an annual benefit that helps raise funds for “advanced recovery therapy scholarships, rehabilitation equipment, adaptive sports programs, research, and outreach and support for those with new injuries.” Read More
