Listen at Winflo

By | Events | No Comments

We would like to give a deep and whole-hearted thank you to everyone who came out to the sold out show at the Listening Room @Winflo Osteria. You, our amazing fans, encourage us to continue doing what we love: making and playing music!

Living in Austin, the Live Music Capital of the World, means we get to play fun, intimate shows at some very beautiful venues. The Listening Room is such a unique, cozy space that it almost feels like we are playing a for friends in the living room! The warm setting  encouraged a close connection with the audience – giving us a chance to chat about what our songs mean to us.

We love giving back to our community!

We recently were invited by The Kindness Campaign to play a show for the young women at two Austin area schools, Bertha Sadler Means Young Women’s Leadership Academy and Ann Richards School for Young Women Leaders. The Kindness Campaign put on these wonderful events to empower the young women of these schools to help stop bullying and spread kindness to themselves and those around them.

We were so fortunate to share a stage with the inspiring community leader and director of the Survive2Thrive Foundation, Courtney Santana. We also loved being able to perform our song “Enough” with the talented Morgan Ashley. We wouldn’t have been able to have such a great event without the support of Kind Bars and Sway Water, who were at both events making sure everyone was refreshed and full!

These events were so amazing to be part of! We hope to continue to participate in more KINDNESSPALOOZAS in the future!

We blew up the stage on NYE!

By | Events, News | No Comments

Larissa hit the first note on the keyboard, grabbed her flute, and we started rocking In the Blink of an Eye.

Every eyeball in the room was on the stage. Nearly 200 people were packed into Hanover’s 2.0, and the energy was electric. We played for an hour and enjoyed every second of it. The best part was the crowd… so engaged, having a blast ringing in the new year with us.

Some of our favorite moments? Watching the crowd dancing to “Bait and Switch” (one of our originals) and hearing them sing along to “The Beast.” It’s moments like these that remind us why we do what we do!

One of our biggest fans even told us we blew up the stage (metaphorically, of course)!

Here are a few more of the last moments we shared with fans from 2016, captured by the talented Daniel Davis:

Free the Beast!

By | Events, Reflections | No Comments

We have some really BIG news! We are delighted to share it with you here first.

We are releasing our newest single called…wait for it…”The Beast” on October 14th! This song is about freeing those parts of yourself that you normally keep hidden, those parts that seem too wild or too much. The Beast is a call to be kind to & embrace all parts of yourself, to see the beauty in the beast. Plus, the music will get your juices flowing, your heart pumping, your feet dancing! It’s all around awesome, if we do say so.

Then, on Sunday, October 16th, join us at the historic Scoot Inn in east Austin, to champion kindness in yourself and others, and to help spread kindness to children across the city. We will be freeing “The Beast” during a 5:30 performance. Read More

The Mrs take over New York City!

By | Events, Reflections | No Comments

Do you ever have one of those moments where you take a step back and realize how lucky you are? That’s how we felt this week, as we hopped on a plane to New York City.

For three years we’ve been chasing a dream to spread our music and mission with as many people as possible. Through losses and gains, we have continued working together to create music that stirs girls {from 9-99} to be kind to themselves, take risks in their lives and step fully into their own power.

This week, we chased the dream into the bustling streets and subways of New York to meet with lots of media insiders about our new music {which we can’t wait to share with you!}. Since we’ve gotta walk our talk, we entered into this amazing opportunity, trusting that we are enough. We weren’t seeking validation. We were open to the possibilities this opportunity will bring our way, and we are having so much fun along the way.
